On his birthday uncle Sam visited Daniel. He gave him an expensive camera. Daniels mother told him to be careful: "Don't break it", she said. The day after his birthday Daniel wanted to try his new present, but it wasn‘t in its box. Daniel looked for it, but it wasn‘t anywhere in his room. He didn‘t tell anybody about it. The next day, Daniel and his mum went to the beach.
“Why aren‘t you taking any photos?“ she asked. “I forgot my camera,“ said Daniel. He felt
terrible “What can l do?“ he thought. If I tell Uncle Sam, he‘ll be angry. He won‘t give me
any presents again. But what if Mum finds out? I’ll be in trouble if I don‘t tell her.“
When they got home they found a packet with a note in it. “Dear Daniel,“ it said. “Here‘s your
camera I took it home because it looks like mine. Sorry! Love, Uncle Sam.“
